One of my favorite vampire novels!

wow, I really loved this book! In a market that is heavily laden with vampire novels, this was a great refreshment in that it's so different than the others out there. Addy has a dark past, but even with her own self-loathing, she's strong and won't back down from a fight. I loved the tension between her and Lachlan and the way I was pulling for them the whole way through. I still don't know what to think about Cannon, I wanted to not like him, but I have a feeling I will be more torn in my feelings when the second book is released. There seems to be so much more to him that we haven't learned yet! Of course, we were left with the mother of all cliffhangers, so I'm hoping I can put up with the wait!

What a terrific find!

I stumbled across this book through a Facebook post. I was dubious at first, but for $.99, what did I have to lose besides a bit of time? I am so glad I took the chance. This book had suspense, action, romance and, most importantly, a couple of steaming hot vampires. :) From the moment I started reading, I was hooked. The story line kept me engaged and the characters kept me enraptured. The h had a very tough upbringing and was headed down a dark path. She was able to turn herself around without losing her compassion and heart. There is a slight reference to a love triangle, but one of the contenders is really out of the running (in my mind), it will be interesting to see if the next book can sway that a bit. If you enjoy the Charley Davidson, Secret McQueen or Rhiannon's law series, I think you'll love this.
Emily Cyr was a new fan in me, my next stop is to order her other publication, The Lightning Prophecy. I have high hopes.
(Warning: This book contains what may be triggers for some, mentioning of child abuse and rape. They were very mild, but thought I'd put that out there.)

Five glittery stars!

What can I say? I always love a good vampire romance. This book had all the right elements. I'm totally digging the love triangle between the MC and the two vampires. Also, I like that the MC isn't perfect. She's flawed and was successfully getting herself back on track. There was mystery, intrigue, romance and quite a few twists. Highly recommend for those paranormal romance lovers with an interest in vampires. Can't wait to see what happens next! I need more!
