Maximum protection and mobility assured

I nearly thought the space for my wooden piccolo-headjoint was too short but it can be put with some slight effort. (I later tried putting a steel headjoint to that chamber and it was of perfect size.) And then the handstrap and backstrap are really nicely padded. I hold it comfortably!
Some points one might consider:
1. There is no room for cleaning rods in the flute/picc compartment (unless you put them inside the bodies of the flutes which is not really recommended).
2. FYI, the footjoint is assumed to be a B-foot.
3. Would be great if a flute stand can be put here as well :)
But all-in-all, the main compartment is really large enough for you to put whatever into it. (I've tried a laptop!)

Pro Tec Combo case

I ordered this with a bit of skepticism. However, when I received the case, I was extremely pleased. It is very lightweight, yet offers a lot of protection. There is more than enough padding to protect the instruments from normal use and the occasional bang against a door or an accidental drop. Also, there is a lot of room in the pocket for music, tuner, pencil, glasses and screwdriver set. The reason I bought this is because of its weight. The case is designed for a flute with a B foot joint, although a C foot joint could be put in as well. There is a slot for an extra head joint into which one could put a second piccolo if one is not concerned about an exact fit. I'm not really sure what the square compartment is for (cork grease or polishing cloth I suppose). The piccolo section is designed for a wood or plastic piccolo, but a metal piccolo fits as well. While I am quite pleased with the case, I'm still not sure if I would put my professional flute and piccolo in it. Perhaps it is psychological, but I prefer to keep the Powell and Haynes in a traditional case with case cover. That being said, one could use the case for any style flute and piccolo combination.

A little heavy but almost perfect!

The only complaint I have is that the attachmeny for the messenger strap is made of a low quality leather. I'm talking get about the part where you hook that strap on. It seems like faux leather and will break easily if not handled with caution. However if it does break, there are study backpack straps and a handle so you can hold it like a suitcase.
The case for the picc/flute is perfect. It is well padded.
Plenty of pockets for pens and a pocket for a phone!
I've attached a photo for this review; hopefully Amazon posts it. If they do, it's the picture that is in a mosaic collage.
